Today the operator reads gross and tare off the indicator and enters them on the phone or tablet in front of them, and the ticket does the rest: net weight, deductions, pricing and the payable total. Automatic reading straight off the indicator is an integration we scope per site, and it depends on your hardware - ask us about your specific make and model rather than assuming.
Pricing that respects grade, market and supplier
Each material/grade combination has a price book with a base rate, a per-supplier markup or markdown, and grade-driven adjustments (per-percent contamination, ISRI tier). The ticket prices the load the second the weight settles. The cashier sees the breakdown, the supplier sees the breakdown, no after-the-fact "how did you get to this number" calls.
Photo evidence and an audit trail on the load
Operators can photograph the load, the indicator display, the vehicle or the delivery note straight from the device they are weighing on, and those images stay attached to the ticket alongside the timestamp and the user who captured it. If a buyer or an investigator asks what was in a load, the answer is on the ticket rather than in somebody’s camera roll.

How long does it take to integrate my existing scale?+
For most commercial weighbridge indicators, integration takes under an hour: connect the serial or TCP cable, run our small helper that reads the indicator's output, point Scraplytics at it. Our team will walk you through it on a screen-share at no extra cost during onboarding.
Can I hand my supplier a printed ticket?+
Not yet. Tickets live in the system and can be viewed and exported, but printed supplier copies and supplier-facing receipts are on the roadmap rather than shipping today. If a paper copy at the gate is essential for you, say so early and we will tell you where it sits on the plan.
What if the internet goes down at the scale?+
Scale-ticket capture currently needs a connection. Offline queueing exists in our driver app and extending it to weighing is on the roadmap. If your weighbridge has unreliable signal, raise it with us - it changes what we would recommend for your site.
Can I price the same material differently for different suppliers?+
Yes. The price book supports per-supplier markups, contract rates, and tiered pricing by volume or cumulative weight. The cashier never has to remember "this is the price for Ricardo" - the system applies it automatically.
