Scale Ticket Processing, Reimagined
Go from weighbridge to paid ticket in under 30 seconds. Scraplytics eliminates manual data entry, paper tickets, and calculation errors - for good.

Every ticket priced, weighed and ready for payment.
Why scrap yards rebuild around digital tickets
The weighbridge is where most yards lose the most money - to typos, fraud and slow payouts. Digital tickets are the single biggest leverage point in a scrap operation.
Weighbridge operator scribbles weight on a paper ticket, hands it to the office, somebody types it into accounting, somebody else types it into inventory. Three chances for a typo, three sets of eyes nobody had to spare.
The scale streams gross and tare directly into the ticket. Material grade and price book apply automatically. One transaction, zero retypes, and inventory plus accounting update in the same atomic step.
Peddler shows up, dumps copper on the scale, you eyeball the grade and trust the number. You learn it was contaminated when your downstream buyer downgrades you - and you cannot prove who brought it.
Every ticket captures a load photo, GPS, weighbridge reading and a grade chosen by your scale staff. If it gets downgraded later, you have evidence and a supplier scorecard that catches the pattern next time.
Same supplier weighs in twice in 20 minutes with suspiciously similar loads. Or "Ricardo" weighs in three trucks in a day on a license plate you do not recognize. You catch this by gut feel, or you do not catch it.
Duplicate-detection flags suspicious ticket patterns: same supplier, weight within 5%, less than 30 minutes apart, or mismatched ID. The cashier sees the flag before paying out. Fraud loss measurably drops.

Direct weighbridge integration that just works
Scraplytics reads from Avery Weigh-Tronix, Mettler Toledo, Rice Lake, Cardinal, Fairbanks, Sartorius and most other commercial scale indicators via serial (RS-232/485) or TCP. Plug in the included USB-to-serial adapter, point the app at the COM port, and the gross/tare flow into the ticket live. No "press the print button on the indicator" workaround.
Pricing that respects grade, market and supplier
Each material/grade combination has a price book with a base rate, a per-supplier markup or markdown, and grade-driven adjustments (per-percent contamination, ISRI tier). The ticket prices the load the second the weight settles. The cashier sees the breakdown, the supplier sees the breakdown, no after-the-fact "how did you get to this number" calls.
Photo, signature and audit trail on every load
Mandatory before-and-after photos, signature on glass, weighbridge timestamp and the cashier user-ID are attached to every ticket. If a regulator, an insurance investigator or your downstream buyer asks "what was in this load," the answer is one click. The retention is configurable - some yards keep the photos for 10 years.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to integrate my existing scale?+
For most commercial weighbridge indicators, integration takes under an hour: connect the serial or TCP cable, run our small helper that reads the indicator's output, point Scraplytics at it. Our team will walk you through it on a screen-share at no extra cost during onboarding.
Can I print a paper ticket if my supplier insists on one?+
Yes. Every digital ticket can be printed on demand to any USB or network thermal/laser printer. Tickets carry a QR code that resolves to the full ticket online, so even the paper version stays auditable.
What if the internet goes down at the scale?+
The cashier app caches tickets locally and continues to weigh, price and print. The moment the connection returns, queued tickets sync to the server. You never lose a transaction because the cell tower had a bad afternoon.
Can I price the same material differently for different suppliers?+
Yes. The price book supports per-supplier markups, contract rates, and tiered pricing by volume or cumulative weight. The cashier never has to remember "this is the price for Ricardo" - the system applies it automatically.
